decided to replace my poor asploded gtx 750.... soo ive ordered meself one of these
should make for a nice little upgrade (unless i overlooked something and it doesnt work...but thats why i got it from a shop that has an outlet nearby...incase of stupid i can fix it quick)
for some reason i just couldnt get back into couch gaming... dunno why... just wasnt feeling it anymore.... soo back to pc it is

Nice, I’ve been thinking about one of those for my HTPC, really torn between a card like this, trying to go a little more upscale with a 5500, replacing the whole system, or saying “do I even still need an HTPC”?

lol..yeah thats pretty much the chat i had to have with myself too
this card is at the upper range i can have without needing to get a larger psu
and tbh... its capable of much higher resolutions than my monitor... and my cpu is ageing some too
i think my i7 4770 with 16gb of ram and a gtx 1650 should be good to go for a while... but i should probably upgrade everything if i want to run a proper beefy card and not be wasting it

My HTPC’s PSU isn’t that strong, but it should be enough for these cards. Bigger problem I have is that the case can’t take long cards or tall cards, which means I have very limited options as to what will fit, and of course I want something that will be quiet, at least when not gaming (returned a 580 last year because it was super loud even at idle and low temperature). Maybe I shouldn’t stuck to the case either though, it’s not like I need spinning discs or even my optical drive (HD-DVD/Blu-Ray combo drive!)

same problem here with the space... especially length thats why i picked that 1650...its only 17cm long....its about half a cm taller than my 750..but that shouldnt be a problem....i think... welp again...thats why i picked a shop with an outlet nearby :p
and yeah the 750 was very loud too... hope this ones quieter

i still need to finish the new wolfensteins... and cod advanced warfare..the singleplayer..other than that ill be playing dirt and wreckfest
odds are ill take up eve online again too
basically whatever takes my fancy but nothing all that high end

oh...i think the gamepass i have on xbone also works on pc...soo probably the outer worlds too

Yes, I have that, but it's been very flaky compared to normal game installs. It will eat up your hard drive space and it's very hard to clean up because they don't install into Program Files or any normal folders. Not a big deal since you're paying for it already, but for PC only, it's pretty rough.

It's worth trying, but I swapped hard drives recently and the DRM didn't seem happy about that. Some pretty good games on there.
